"Audrey" Charles said softly as though testing the name. It was a beautiful name truth be told and fit perfectly with the beautiful features of the woman who held such a name. "And I am Charles..." he knew that Audrey knew his name, but it was more of an informal introduction and an invite towards a tentative... alliance between the pair.
"The King.... tends to follow his passions" Charles said with a slight sake of his head. It would be the furthest he would admit that at times, at least in the Duke's mind, Henry had made mistakes. But to say such a thing out loud would and could be considered treason against his Majesty. "As long as you keep my secret I will make sure that you are kept safe Lady Lie... Audrey" Charles smiled softly at the beautiful young woman.

Audrey kept a steady gaze on Charles, not wanting to miss any signs that would lead to the contrary of what he was saying. There were none. He was being completely sincere and it made Audrey grin more. Especially since Charles was keeping this deal as easy as it could be. There were no real strings attached and well, there was no real danger in staying close with this man. He was, after all, the King's most faithful.
"Don't worry about that M'Lord. And seeing as we are in this predicament together, I would like you to call me Audrey." She told him, glad to feel some sort of friendship with someone her own age, or around it anyway. "I am quite loyal to Henry, so long as he does not wrong me like he always can. He is an alright guy, just bothers me sometimes. No one will know of your relationship with him." It was then that she felt a small stirring in her stomach. Pain? Hunger. Hopefully, in the coming minutes, the two could possible go to eat lunch.

Charles blinked, taken aback by Lady Liene's sudden actions towards him. He let her hug him, even kiss his cheek and then the other, his own hand gently patting her back. He knew the young woman was not fond of men so he was reluctant in returning the fevered hug. But Charles could not help himself at smiling when he noticed the faint hint of a blush wash across the young woman's cheeks. Despite her nerve and boldness she was quite a stunning young woman with big brown eyes and beautiful thick lips.
As Audrey spoke again Charles raised an eyebrow trying to think if there was anything else. "All I ask is that you keep your mouth shut on any matters concerning my... friendship with the King. I am, have always been and will always remain his most faithful servant and I hope that you Lady Liene hope to remain the same?"

Audrey swallowed delicately as he grinned. Yes, she wanted protection from the Queen. Why else would she have this whole thing up in the first place? As he continued and glanced around the gardens, the girl couldn't help but feel her heart swell in sudden affection for Charles. They were now in the same boat, both feeling near-hatred for Anne, would could ultimately get them both killed if Henry was really as in love with Anne as he said he was. As Charles finished though, she let her happiness explode on her face, breaking out into a large grin.
"Oh Charles, you're wonderful!" she exclaimed in a happy whisper. She reached forward and hugged him quickly, kissing him on one cheek, "You have no idea how happy this makes me feel!" She proceeded to kiss the other cheek and pulled back, still grinning madly. "I'll cut out the tongues of any maid who speaks of whatever they see pertaining to you. I'm truly sorry I approached you in such a manner though. If I had known how you felt then...." She suddenly realized that her hands were still on his shoulders and she blushed before pulling back,
"I'm sorry, M'Lord. But, you probably have an idea as to how happy this makes me and all." She explained, feeling quite subdued now. Her place was secured now, she had nothing to worry about. Well, except for one thing. "Is there anything else that you'll be needing from me Sir Charles? I mean, we both have the power to blackmail each other with this. I would like to know all the terms of agreement now if you don't mind." She added, now realizing that they held each others fates in their hands, respectively, hers more than his though.
